Maene Restaurant, Fashion Street, London – Bespoke Luxury Furniture Project
Located on Fashion Street in the vibrant district of Spitalfields, Maene was a contemporary dining destination set within a converted Victorian clothing warehouse. Positioned on the upper floors of a multi-use building, the restaurant offered a light-filled, open-plan space with views across East London—creating a unique “country restaurant in the city” atmosphere.
The interior environment reflected this concept, combining industrial architectural features such as exposed brickwork and generous natural light with a warm, relaxed dining aesthetic. The result was a refined yet informal setting designed to enhance the guest experience through simplicity, materiality, and spatial openness.
Working in collaboration with the appointed interior design team, we contributed to the project as a specialist interior designers resource, supplying a collection of bespoke luxury furniture tailored specifically for the restaurant environment. While the overall design concept and spatial planning were led by the designers, our role focused on delivering high-quality, made-to-measure furniture that completed and elevated the final scheme.
Each piece was expertly made in Britain, reflecting the craftsmanship and reliability of UK manufacturing. From custom dining tables and banquette seating to carefully considered loose furniture, every item was designed to balance durability with refined aesthetics—essential within a high-use hospitality setting.
The furniture complements the restaurant’s natural, contemporary aesthetic—featuring warm tones, tactile materials, and understated detailing that align with the relaxed yet sophisticated dining concept. Our bespoke pieces enhance the atmosphere, adding comfort, cohesion, and a sense of elevated luxury living within a commercial hospitality space.
This project highlights how luxury bespoke furniture can support design-led restaurant interiors, enabling interior designers to create distinctive, high-end environments that combine functionality with timeless British craftsmanship.
